Thanks for signing up for a Brand Plan! Ahead of our meeting, I’ll need you to do some homework so we can make the most of our time together.
IMPORTANT: Homework is Due at noon CST the Friday before your scheduled Discovery Call so I have time to review it ahead of the meeting. If this deadline is missed, you’ll receive a link to reschedule your Discovery Call for a later date so we don’t waste time and can make the most of our time together. This also helps ensure a solid final result.
There are two required components, and an extra credit option if you can swing it.
1. Brand Planner – Please work through this planner together as a unified group.
It really helps establish some of the basics of your business, the people you are trying to reach, and some of the ideas for the overall brand including visuals and voice. This is an online form.
2. Past Marketing Collateral – A sampling of any of your past materials.
This could include other logos, signs, business cards, flyers, apparel, etc. Really anything you’ve made to promote your business. I’m trying to get the idea of where you’ve been so we can discuss where you are going.
If you can include shots of any of you past trade show booths since that seems to be the major connector between you and your collaborators/partners, that would be super helpful. I’m using this to get the feel of your business including look, the messaging, and the past visuals.

3. EXTRA CREDIT – Likes/Dislikes
Include anything you see that feels like what you’re headed for. This doesn’t have to be anything related to your business. This can be any brand that seems to present itself in a way that you relate to, this can be any type, textures, colors, illustrations, etc that feel right. Please provide a sentence or two describing what it is about that brand that you relate to.
Same as the likes, tell me about stuff you dislike or even hate. Point out other brands, fonts, images, writing that you want to stay as far away from as we can. Make notes to help contextualize it.
